PragoPaste 512 is used for the creation of male counterforce dies for cold blind embossing cardboard. A popular choice for trade professionals because of high quality, speed and product wear resistance. Perfect as a backup or emergency solution if your counterforce is damaged in production. For use with platen/clamshell and flatbed machines. The counterforce is formed quickly and easily by a simple process. First of all ensure your female die is in position. Stick a piece of 200-250gsm cardboard onto the makeready side of your machine (cut to the size of your die) and cover with carbon paper then operate the machine creating an impression into the cardboard. Once you have created an imprint of your die and all of the die outlines are visible then the correct pressure is achieved. Spread the PragoPaste onto the cardboard. Quick tip – heat the PragoPaste in warm (not boiling) water first to make it easier to apply. Lay a piece of paper over the top of the paste and run the machine for a few minutes to create an impression. Finally, remove any excess paste and material and leave for around 60 minutes to harden.
